Pull-Out Laundry Hamper and Concealed Ironing Board Combinations for One Laundry Cabinet

A hamper and concealed ironing board can be considered within one cabinet when both installation envelopes are planned together. Confirm the selected mechanisms, cabinet structure and opening clearances before approving the combination.

A combined layout can place clothing storage and the ironing area close together. The design question is how to preserve access to each function while leaving enough room for operation, removal and maintenance. Treat the combination as a cabinet project, with each component checked against its own drawing.

Vertical split: upper ironing zone, lower basket

An upper ironing zone and lower basket is one layout to review. Allocate space from the actual component drawings; a shared cabinet does not mean that the mounting pattern, runners or support requirements are interchangeable.

Zone Function Design check
Upper cabinet zone Concealed ironing mechanism Stored envelope, opening movement and working height
Lower cabinet zone Pull-out or tilt-out hamper Basket travel, removal space and access to a liner
Shared cabinet structure Support for both functions Partitions, fixing positions and interference between components
Front working area Access during use Doors, handles, people and nearby appliances

Coordinate the hamper hardware separately

Provide the hamper manufacturer’s drawing alongside the proposed ironing-board installation. Confirm basket dimensions, runner positions and removal access with the cabinet maker.

This page describes a layout concept. Hamper baskets, cabinetry and any consolidated sourcing arrangement require a separate scope and availability confirmation; they should not be assumed to be included with an ironing mechanism.

Build a clear proposal for the cabinet buyer

Show the buyer how the cabinet works in both stored and open positions. A plan, section and simple operating sequence make the trade-offs easier to review than a component list alone.

  • Identify which components are included in each supplier’s quotation.
  • Allow access to remove the hamper without dismantling the ironing mechanism.
  • Check whether the two functions are intended to operate at the same time.
  • Confirm packaging and branding requirements separately with the quotation.
  • Review a sample assembly before repeating the cabinet across a programme.

Information to send with the enquiry

Include clear internal cabinet dimensions, the front and hinge arrangement, the hamper drawing, intended operating height and estimated quantity. Identify any site or maintenance requirements that affect the design.

Ask VENACE to confirm a suitable ironing-board format and the current supporting documents. Final component compatibility remains subject to the approved drawings and sample review.

Project questions

Can a hamper and an ironing board share one cabinet?

They can be considered in a coordinated layout, but fit must be checked using both component drawings. Confirm stored dimensions, opening movement, fixing positions and removal access.

Is a hamper basket included with the ironing mechanism?

Do not assume it is included. Define the hamper and cabinet supply scope separately and ask whether any project-specific sourcing arrangement is available.

How are order quantities and branding agreed?

Send the proposed product mix and quantities with the enquiry. Minimum quantities, branding, packaging and any associated charges are confirmed in the project quotation.
